Prediction & Match Preview

Italy and England will face each other in the EURO 2020 final at Wembley Stadium.

England

The Three Lions are eyeing their first major trophy since 1966 when they won the World Cup title, without any injuries reported, they should have a full squad to choose from for the Wembley showdown. In last semi-final against Denmark, Harry Kane’s goal at 104 minute of extra time got them into the Euro 2020 final. Their performance in this tournament was getting better as the games went on, they have beaten Germany with 2-0 and Ukraine with 4-0 in the knock-out stage.

Italy

The Italian seems unstoppable that they have won all the games in this tournament before the penalty kick-out against Spain last time-out. At the same time they are on a 14 matches winning streak including their victory over Austria in extra time in the Round of 16. Bad news for them is their wing-back Spinazzola was out of the squad because of injury. But their impressive performances on offensive line helped them score at least 2 goals in 13 of last 14 appearances.

Prediction

These two teams have played with each other five times before, and three of them ended with a draw result. We should notice that in the 2014 World Cup Final, Italy beat England with 2-1 to win the trophy. This time with the ground advantage, I pick the Englishman to win the title at their home court.

Paul's Prediction: England to Win @ 2.63
